Shots Fired After ICE Agents Were Targeted In Christmas Eve Ramming Attack
"U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were forced to open fire when a currently unidentified suspect attempted to run them over during an immigration enforcement operation in Maryland.
The incident occurred around 10:50 AM local time on the 500 block of West Court in Glen Burnie, Maryland, within the Parke West neighborhood of Anne Arundel County. ICE agents with the Enforcement and Removal Operations division were conducting an immigration enforcement detail when they approached a white van.
Two individuals were injured in the shooting and transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. One person inside the van was struck by gunfire and is in stable condition at the hospital, according to a report from local outlet WBFF.
The second person, who was outside the van, sustained minor injuries from the incident and was also hospitalized. Details on the wounded individuals have not been released as of this report, including whether any law enforcement personnel were among the injured."
