"Law Enforcement has requested that we leave the premises, consistent with protocol, which we will do, immediately. I will be giving a press conference in 30 minutes from the White House Press Briefing Room," Trump said in another post, adding "I have spoken with all the representatives in charge of the event, and we will be rescheduling within 30 days."

The shooter has been apprehended, and I have recommended that we “LET THE SHOW GO ON” but, will entirely be guided by Law Enforcement. They will make a decision shortly. A separate White House Pool Report from Jeff Mordock of the Washington Times stated that Secret Service indicated the alleged shooter is in custody - however CNN is reporting that the shooter is dead. The shooter is in custody.
Trump says a Secret Service agent was shot in the chest but was wearing a bulletproof vest. "He was shot from very close distance with a very powerful gun, and the vest did the job. I just spoke to the officer, and he’s doing great,” Trump says.
Karol Markowicz reports that the shooter 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen from Torrance, California and he is in custody.
U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said the Secret Service is in charge of the hotel complex and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, who she just spoke with, is on her way, as is Interim Chief of Police of the Metropolitan Police Department Jeffrey Carroll, who will be in charge once he arrives."
