Rubio Announces Bold Action On Chinese Student Visas
"Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Wednesday that the U.S. will immediately be taking “aggressive” action to revoke visas belonging to Chinese students.

“Under President Donald Trump’s leadership, the U.S. State Department will work with the Department of Homeland Security to aggressively revoke visas for Chinese students, including those with connections to the Chinese Communist Party or studying in critical fields,” Rubio announced in a statement. The State Department will also be reviewing its visa criteria to require enhanced scrutiny of all visa applications coming from mainland China or Hong Kong.
The move comes just weeks after lawmakers in both chambers of Congress introduced the Stop Chinese Communist Prying by Vindicating Intellectual Safeguards in Academia Act, also known as the Stop CCP Visas ACT."
